Keith Joubert

Keith Joubert was born in South Africa in 1948. Having studied art at the Johannesburg School of Art, he began his career as a book illustrator before living and working as an artist full time.

  "Letaba River Crossing"
Keith's entire adult life has been spent in the game reserves and wildlife areas of Southern Africa, particularly the South African Lowveld area and the Chobe region of Northern Botswana. He works mainly in oils on canvas and his subject matter is of Africa – people, animals, landscapes, and their interdependence. Often he depicts reality and the transcendent, together using symbolisation to imply a greater design.
